Inaugurazione martedì 11 novembre alle 11.30 presso l’ospedale della Gruccia In Valdarno, l’ASL Toscana sud est celebra la giornata nazionale delle cure palliative con una mostra organizzata all ’hospice di Santa Maria alla Gruccia.
Un modo per trasformare un momento di attenzione per la comunità delle professioniste e dei professionisti che operano ogni giorno a favore dei pazienti affetti da malattie inguaribili in un’ occasione di riflessione sul concetto di “dignità”, valore unico e irripetibile che merita rispetto e tutela, soprattutto quando la malattia minaccia l’identità, i valori personali e il diritto all’autodeterminazione. La mostra, che si inaugura martedì 11 novembre alle 11.30 presso i locali dell’hospice all’interno del presidio ospedaliero della Gruccia a Montevarchi, mette dunque al centro le parole degli operatori, ai quali è stato chiesto di definire il concetto di “dignità” nella loro vita e nella loro professione d’aiuto, e le trasforma in piccole opere d’arte con cui decorare lo spazio che ogni giorno condividono con le persone di cui si prendono cura. La terapia della dignità è un approccio innovativo – ha specificato la Dottoressa Tatiana Ieri, Referente Cure palliative Zona distretto Valdarno, ASL Toscana sud est – che aiuta le persone malate e le loro famiglie a preservare ciò che conta davvero nel fine-vita: la propria identità, i propri valori, la propria voce. In una giornata così importante per chi si occupa di cure palliative, mettere il concetto di dignità al centro di un momento di riflessione e allo stesso tempo rendere le parole con le quali viene espresso oggetti di esposizione all’interno di uno spazio di vita e di lavoro ci è sembrato il modo migliore per celebrarlo.” Nella giornata nazionale dedicata alle cure palliative è importante ricordare – dichiara la dottoressa Concetta Liberatore, Responsabile della Rete Aziendale di Cure Palliative dell’ASL Toscana sud est – che nel nostro territorio esiste e opera una rete dedicata che coordina i servizi e garantisce l’accesso alle cure ogni giorno, ovunque, a domicilio, negli ospedali, nelle strutture residenziali e nella comunità, affinché nessuno sia lasciato solo di fronte alla sofferenza. Assicura equità, accessibilità, continuità e sostegno alle persone e alle loro famiglie nei momenti più difficili e di fragilità, in qualunque luogo esse vivano. Questo accompagnamento non avviene “alla fine”, ma si integra precocemente nel percorso di cura, per stare accanto alle persone fin dal momento della diagnosi di una malattia non guaribile, orientare nei momenti complessi, alleviare il dolore, sostenere la persona nella sua globalità e proteggere la dignità della vita in ogni suo tempo. Oggi sappiamo che questo approccio migliora la qualità della vita e, in molti casi, ne prolunga la durata. Per questo è importante l’11 novembre: non per celebrare una ricorrenza, ma per affermare con chiarezza che la cura è un diritto e un atto di civiltà e che questo diritto è oggi garantito dalla nostra Rete aziendale, vicina alle persone, nelle loro case, nei loro legami, nella loro storia.
