Cresce la “fascia grigia”: 378 persone si sono presentate per la prima volta. prima volta È stato presentato il Rapporto diocesano sulle povertà relativo al 2024, redatto dalla Caritas diocesana in collaborazione con l’associazione Sichem. “Cercando l’invisibile” è il titolo scelto per questa edizione, che intende far emergere le situazioni di fragilità spesso celate nel territorio e restituire visibilità a chi vive condizioni di disagio.
Il Rapporto si basa sui dati provenienti dal Centro di Ascolto diocesano e dalle 35 Caritas parrocchiali. Il quadro che emerge mostra l’ampliarsi della cosiddetta “fascia grigia”, composta da persone e famiglie che non rientravano nei circuiti di aiuto ma che, per la prima volta, hanno richiesto sostegno: 378 nuovi utenti solo nel 2024, una parte di quel sommerso che tende a non manifestarsi. Nel complesso, nel 2024 sono state registrate 2.086 prese in carico nominali, 19 in meno rispetto all’anno precedente. Il dato conferma una situazione stabile, in cui alcuni riescono a uscire da percorsi di povertà mentre altri vi entrano improvvisamente, rendendo fondamentale un accompagnamento costante verso forme reali di autonomia. Accanto a un nucleo stabile di circa 1.500–1.600 utenti ricorrenti, si registra una crescita delle situazioni complesse: le richieste riguardano sempre più spesso problemi intrecciati, che richiedono interventi personalizzati.

Il mio grazie va a tutti gli operatori della Caritas diocesana». «Spesso siamo disturbati dal virus dell’indifferenza verso chi, con la sua povertà, interrompe il nostro percorso ordinario – afferma don Fabrizio Vantini, direttore della Caritas diocesana –. Questo Rapporto richiama ciascuno alla responsabilità civica e umana: agire per il bene ci rende tutti più umani, oltre appartenenze e differenze. È anche un appello alla Politica affinché le scelte di governo mettano al centro gli ultimi. I poveri non possono essere lasciati soli fino a diventare invisibili».
