Mentre in Paesi Bassi, Germania e Regno Unito per ora se ne discute (obbligatorio o volontario).Il nostro ministro della Difesa, Guido Crosetto, ha fatto sapere che – modello francese – ha intenzione di presentare analoga proposta di legge in Parlamento. Motivazione principale è la minaccia russa alla nostra sicurezza, in considerazione del rallentamento (per ora politico) dell’impegno Usa (fuori e dentro la Nato). Motivazione decisamente fondata, soprattutto da quando il presidente russo Vladimir Putin – invasione Ucraina in corso – ha fatto sapere che sono ridicole le “voci” su una sua invasione dell’Europa. La tipologia politica ed antropologica di soggetti come Putin, ci ha storicamente insegnato che quando questi hanno necessità di comunicare un loro pensiero (o anche solo minacciare), lo esprimono dicendo il contrario. Allo stato, le proposte innovative sono sempre su base volontaria, ma non si può escludere che se, per esempio, in Francia non si raggiunga l’obiettivo di 50mila non professionisti entro il 2035 (data molto provvisoria, suscettibile di anticipo), si ritorni al servizio militare obbligatorio.
Niente ci dice che altrettanto possa accadere in Italia: non si tratta di una decisione parte di un piano strategico lungimirante di difesa, ma adeguamento a come fanno gli altri partner europei e, soprattutto, all’acuirsi di minacce (come quelle di Putin), verso le quali l’Italia (Paese perdente nella seconda guerra mondiale, dopo averla provocata… non dimentichiamolo) non ha mai brillato in storia e cultura.
