SANSEPOLCRO – Profondo cordoglio negli ambienti istituzionali cittadini per la scomparsa di Giovanni Gorizi, avvenuta a soli due giorni dalla morte dell’ex sindaco Franco Polcri. Giovanni Gorizi, per tutti “Gianni”, se ne è andato a 86 anni dopo aver fieramente combattuto contro la malattia che lo minava da tempo. Politico di razza, ha incarnato il simbolo dello “Scudo Crociato”, come esponente di spicco della Dc cittadina e provinciale, prima di una breve adesione all’Udc.
La politica era la sua grande passione, che visse attivamente in prima persona ricoprendo incarichi prestigiosi. Consigliere provinciale e comunale per più legislature a Palazzo delle Laudi, assessore della giunta targata Franco Polcri e prima ancora Presidente dell’allora Comunità Montana Valtiberina Toscana. “Con Gianni ho condiviso un percorso comune alla guida dell’amministrazione cittadina” dichiara il sindaco Fabrizio Innocenti “e posso dire che da lui ho imparato tanto. Ci conoscevamo già da prima e stima reciproca c’è sempre stata. Il Borgo perde un’altra figura di spicco, sembra quasi un cinico destino che in questi giorni se ne vadano personaggi che hanno lasciato una forte impronta sulla città”. I funerali di Gianni Gorizi si terranno mercoledì 27 luglio a partire dalle 9.30 in Cattedrale. Alla moglie Maria Grazia, ai figli Ilaria e Francesco, le più sentite condoglianze da parte del sindaco Innocenti, della giunta, dell’assemblea consiliare.
