Presentato dalla Presidente della Provincia di Arezzo, il progetto di ampliamento dell’I.S.I.S Varchi risolve una situazione ormai incancrenita da decenni a causa delle precedenti Amministrazioni Provinciali, legata alla sicurezza e al decoro per gli studenti dell’Istituto Magiotti della sede ex liceo in Via Marconi.
Silvia Chiassai Martini dichiara :
“Sarà un edificio moderno, sicuro, ad elevata efficienza energetica, ad energia quasi zero, capace di accogliere un numero importante di studenti. I miei predecessori da decenni, avevano ignorato le esigenze delle nostre Scuole Superiori, nel caso di Montevarchi gli studenti del Professionale Magiotti continuano a vivere in una struttura vecchia e fatiscente. L’ex liceo sorto negli anni ‘20, non è più in linea con gli obblighi normativi in materia di edilizia scolastica ed impossibile da ristrutturare. Fortunatamente, grazie all’opportunita’ di un bando ministeriale, abbiamo recuperato un vecchio progetto che e’ stato rivisto e candidato e che abbiamo ottenuto, che prevede una nuova sede della succursale dell’Istituto Magiotti, attraverso un ampliamento del polo scolastico “Benedetto Varchi” finalizzato ad ospitare 125 allievi. L’importo complessivo dei lavori è di euro 5.459.516,67 ed il lavori inizieranno a marzo 2023.Il fabbricato che verrà realizzato sarà indipendente dal resto del polo, ma attraverso una passerella sarà direttamente collegato con gli altri spazi scolastici del Liceo. Il nuovo edificio sarà composto da 5 aule didattiche, 8 aule per attività speciali, 2 aule per attività integrative e la biblioteca, oltre agli spazi di connessione e servizi igienici, lasciando inoltre libera la visuale degli alunni verso gli ambienti esterni. Tutto il complesso verrà realizzato con i più moderni standard costruttivi e sono infatti fermamente convinta che la qualità degli spazi, abbia importanti risvolti sull’efficienza educativa. L’edilizia scolastica ha un ruolo fondamentale nello sviluppo innovativo dell’intera città e questo edificio altamente performante, permetterà di potenziare le attività della scuola, diventando moltiplicatore di occasioni educative.”
