Il 21 Marzo, in occasione della giornata Mondiale della Poesia istituita da UNESCO nel 1999, la Bibliocoop e Circolo di lettura di Coop Valtiberina, promuovono un incontro in Biblioteca Dionisio Roberti a Sansepolcro, con il poeta Vito Taverna che nel 1990 ha fondato a Monterchi L’Archivio Nazionale della Poesia inedita: “Poesie nel Cassetto”.
La proposta di questa iniziativa sostenuta da CoopFi, è partita da Maria Andreina Santaterra, volontaria di Bibliocoop e attiva nel Circolo di lettura, per onorare l’impegno del grande maestro della pubblicità, ora novantenne, Vito Taverna che ogni anno, grazie alla sua capacità di accoglienza e simpatia, tra la sua casa nella campagna di Monterchi e il castello di Sorci ad Anghiari si dedica alla divulgazione attraverso la poesia dei valori di solidarietà, fratellanza e pace nel mondo. Taverna, trentatre anni fa ha fondato l’Archivio Nazionale della Poesia inedita e ogni anno organizza la giornata di Poesia nel Cassetto, dedicando il tema ad una delle tante associazioni che si distinguono per l’impegno civile. Poeta sensibile, amico di artisti ed intellettuali, chiama a raccolta scrittori e poeti da tutta Italia a lavorare su un tema di rilevanza sociale dedicato all’ Associazione di riferimento. Dal Convegno che si tiene ogni anno l’ultimo sabato di Agosto, nasce un volume di poesie che è biglietto da visita per le Associazioni che lavorano per la solidarietà e per la pace a cui sarà devoluto il ricavo della vendita dei libri. Le poesie ed il Convegno del 1997, con il titolo “Il colore dell’anima”, sono stati dedicati all’ Unesco, per aver approvato nella Conferenza Generale del 1978 la Dichiarazione sulla razza e i pregiudizi razziali. Ed è partendo anche da questo riconoscimento che l’ Unesco nel 1999 ha istituito la giornata Mondiale della Poesia. “Abbiamo tanta cultura nella nostra Valtiberina- afferma Andreina Santaterra- e Vito ne è un esempio, non dobbiamo perdere l’occasione di celebrare questa giornata in suo onore, che sarà introdotta dalla scrittrice Fabrizia Fabbroni e vedrà la partecipazione dei rappresentanti delle associazioni operanti nel territorio: Elisa Celicchi per la Cultura della Pace, Patrizia Fabbroni per Anpi, Michele Brancale per la Comunità di Sant’Egidio e Luigia Besi per il Club Unesco Arezzo. L’appuntamento patrocinato dall’Unesco, Comune di Sansepolcro, Regione Toscana, ANPI, Associazione Cultura per la pace, Capo Trave/Kilowatt e Caserma archeologica, inizierà alle 16, alla Biblioteca di Sansepolcro in via XX Settembre 131.
