Si è appena chiusa l’edizione 2023 delle Fiere di Mezzaquaresima ed è tempo di bilanci a Palazzo delle Laudi. Una manifestazione da sempre molto attesa, baciata per una volta da condizioni climatiche ottimali, che ha fatto riscontrare numeri importanti.
“Le Fiere di quest’anno” commenta l’assessore a cultura, turismo e commercio Francesca Mercati “ci hanno restituito l’immagine di un evento del passato, di quelli che appartenevano alla storia pre-covid. Sono stati quattro giorni intensi e molto partecipati. Sulla riuscita della kermesse c’è dietro un lungo lavoro preparatorio, pianificato dagli uffici comunali preposti e reso operativo grazie alla preziosa collaborazione dei tanti soggetti esterni coinvolti. Non sempre succede, ma mi viene da pensare che stavolta vale il detto chi semina raccoglie. Abbiamo riscontrato grande partecipazione da parte dei visitatori, molti dei quali provenienti da fuori Valtiberina. Nonostante la presenza di bancarelle sia stata in misura minore, per ragioni di sicurezza, rispetto alle edizioni storiche, il flusso di pubblico è stato elevatissimo in ogni arteria o piazza, del centro storico e delle altre aree tematiche. E anche gli operatori sono rimasti soddisfatti per loro diretta ammissione, a partire dalle realtà del nostro territorio, che nella centralissima piazza Berta hanno potuto presentare le loro prelibatezze gastronomiche. Va in archivio un’edizione che ci dà ulteriore slancio per programmare al meglio le Fiere del futuro. Al proposito abbiamo già fissato a breve un incontro tra Comune e operatori per pianificare i prossimi eventi e per migliorare le criticità. Criticità che in appuntamenti di simile portata ci sono sempre ma che, di fronte al risultato complessivo registrato, rappresentano solo una minima parte alla quale porre rimedio senza problemi sempre con spirito di massima collaborazione tra le parti coinvolte nel mettere insieme un evento tradizionalmente molto sentito al Borgo”.
