Oggi la conferenza zonale dell’istruzione della zona aretina ha approvato, su proposta del Comune di Arezzo, l’adesione all’Osservatorio scolastico aretino quale evoluzione e istituzionalizzazione del progetto “Stella polare” che ITIS di Arezzo ha condotto per circa un decennio e che si è rafforzato negli ultimi anni alla luce degli importanti risultati e stimoli raggiunti. Negli anni sono state promosse azioni di contrasto alla dispersione scolastica con corsi rivolti a studenti e formazione per i docenti costruendo nel tempo una rete di relazioni e di scambi sempre più ricca e solida che oggi coinvolge tutta la città di Arezzo e da qui l’esigenza di dare una forma ancora più articolata e solida. Un lavoro importante che ha preso forma grazie all’ITIS, alle molte scuole aretine e alla preziosa vicinanza del provveditorato e che oggi fa un salto di qualità dando vita ad una realtà strategica per il futuro degli studenti aretini. L’obiettivo dell’Osservatorio sarà, infatti, mettere a sistema tutti gli strumenti e le opportunità per accompagnare gli studenti in tutto il loro percorso – da zero a diciotto anni – dando stabilità ad una serie di azioni quali: analisi dei fenomeni di dispersione, di abbandono scolastico e di insuccesso; studio di metodologie comuni che prevedano percorsi di sostegno, di indirizzo e di condivisione; analisi dei risultati scolastici degli alunni, tutela dei minori e stimolo all’orientamento e al successo formativo. Centrale sarà il rapporto diretto con gli studenti e le loro famiglie anche attraverso incontri e seminari serali così da costruire una vera comunità capace di fare fronte insieme alle sfide della formazione e dell’educazione. L’Osservatorio si doterà di un gruppo di lavoro costituito da docenti, rappresentanze dell’Ufficio scolastico territoriale e del Comune di Arezzo che, con questa progettualità, rafforza ancora l’idea delle scuole come luoghi strategici di comunità. Un particolare ringraziamento va all’ITIS ed al suo dirigente per aver messo a terra un progetto che credo sia importante e necessario e che darà a tutti i comuni uno strumento utile di lavoro e intelligente nell’analizzare limiti e opportunità della nostra contemporaneità”.
