Una struttura di servizio ma anche di promozione dei tanti eventi che si tengono nell’arco dell’anno Dallo scorso 1° luglio, è in attività al numero civico 5 di via Roma il nuovo ufficio turistico di Pieve Santo Stefano, finanziato dal “bando borghi” del Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza in collaborazione con la Pro Loco del paese. Responsabile di questo nuovo servizio è Luigi Locci, già presidente della Pro Loco, che sulle funzioni della struttura ha le idee molto chiare. “Il primo naturale compito che ci spetta – dichiara Locci – è quello di fornire le risposte al turista di passaggio, consigliandolo su ciò che può fare nel nostro territorio e su come viverlo.
Noto con piacere che negli ultimi tempi i turisti sono cresciuti dal punto di vista numerico e ciò giustifica in pieno la presenza di questo ufficio. In secondo luogo, vogliamo svolgere una funzione di coordinamento dei tanti eventi che si avvicendano nell’arco dell’anno, al fine di creare una organizzazione più efficace possibile e di proporre iniziative in ambito turistico più strutturate. Non solo: attraverso portali di settore e social, vogliamo promuovere un’offerta di turismo esperienziale, basato cioè sulla conoscenza del territorio. E di modi per attuarlo ce ne sono tanti”. Il corrente mese di agosto è già stato caratterizzato da un articolato programma di escursioni in diverse località del Comune di Pieve Santo Stefano, a cura del gruppo Camminatori Pievani: al Poggio Tre Vescovi, a Mignano e nei cinque chilometri di anello della camminata per il Meyer di Firenze. E come ufficio turistico e Pro Loco, nell’ambito del progetto “Giovani in Biblioteca”, è stato organizzato un trekking a tema letterario (uno di una lunga serie) che giovedì 22 agosto condurrà a Bulciano e alla Croce, nei luoghi di Giovanni Papini e Giosuè Carducci. Una passeggiata decisamente diversa dalle altre, con l’accompagnamento del professor Andrea Franceschetti, che terrà una lectio magistralis sui due autori. Giosuè Carducci, premio Nobel per la letteratura, ha soggiornato molto spesso a Bulciano (di lui è a noi nota la lettera agli “Amici della Valle Tiberina”); Giovanni Papini, scrittore e controverso intellettuale, è stato fondatore, assieme a Giuseppe Prezzolini, della rivista “il Leonardo” e successivamente di “Lacerba”. Esponente di rilievo del movimento futurista del periodo, Papini sposò una pievana e a Bulciano trovò la conversione al cattolicesimo.
