Neverending story è il titolo di questa importante esposizione personale che è stata inaugurata sabato 11 ottobre dall’assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Città di Castello Michela Botteghi e dal presidente della Associazione Culturale Tracciati Virtuali Antonio Vella.
Nel corso del suo intervento l’assessore Botteghi ha sottolineato la volontà della amministrazione comunale di dare ospitalità a mostre come quella proposta da Antonio Vella e che richiamano l’interesse della comunità tifernate a dimensioni che ci sono quanto mai vicine, come la vita nei piccoli centri, le feste di paese, la quotidianità vissuta con semplicità ma al tempo stesso con fierezza e culto delle tradizioni. All’inaugurazione è intervento il prof. Elvio Lunghi, docente di storia dell’arte all’Università di Perugia, il quale si è soffermato sul fatto che “un tempo l’arte di Luciano l’avrebbero definita una pittura ingenua, naive, e invece rappresenta la grande tradizione del realismo italiano che nasce lontano nel tempo, dalle pareti dipinte da Giotto nelle chiese di Assisi fino ad oggi. E se vai a spasso fra i vicoli di Assisi le opere di Vetturini ti vengono incontro, per farti cantare e ballare, per farti innamorare della vita”. “Collaboro con Luciano Vetturini da tantissimi anni” ha sottolineato il promotore della mostra Antonio Vella “e credo che la mostra alla Pinacoteca di Città di Castello rappresenti una vera e propria ripartenza dell’artista, in un contesto che non poteva essere più suggestivo. Ci sono già richieste in varie città italiane che desiderano ospitare queste opere e sicuramente la nostra associazione farà in modo che l’arte di Luciano arrivi nei luoghi più prestigiosi e possa venire apprezzata da un numero sempre maggiore di appassionati”. Un critico ha scritto “Mi commuovo per questa Umbria autentica. Solo gli artisti sinceri sanno trasmettere queste emozioni”. E allora lasciamoci trasportare dai suoni e dai colori di queste splendide tele, che il Comune di Città di Castello ha saputo apprezzare e promuovere.
