Bellissima storia di amore e solidarietà. Per il compleanno dei 90 anni di età rinuncia ai regali ed invita parenti ed amici a devolvere un contributo economico per l’Associazione Malattia di Alzheimer che ha seguito il percorso della malattia della moglie fino alla fine accanto alle strutture socio-sanitarie.
Un gesto di amore davvero significativo che ha per protagonista Elio Dini, 90enne, come tiene a precisare Goretta Morini, Presidente dell’Associazione Malattia di Alzheimer Umbria ODV commossa “per il pensiero che ha avuto nei nostri confronti dell’associazione stessa in ricordo della moglie. “Per festeggiare i suoi 90 anni, portati benissimo – precisa Goretta Morini – ha comunicato a parenti ed amici di non fare regali, ma una donazione alla nostra Associazione. La richiesta è stata accolta favorevolmente e, la cifra raccolta, considerevole, lo dimostra. “Per non dimenticare chi dimentica” da quasi trenta anni questa breve frase, viene ripetuta fino all’ossessività dalla nostra Associazione A.M.A. Umbria, con un impegno etico-morale ed un’attività sul campo a favore dei malati e delle loro famiglie. Dal 1997, infatti, sono andati strutturandosi su gran parte del territorio dell’Umbria, servizi rivolti ad un’utenza particolarmente fragile e bisognosa di aiuto, sempre in stretta collaborazione con le ASL e i Comuni di riferimento. A tal proposito – prosegue la Presidente di A.M.A. Umbria – il Centro Diurno Alzheimer “Luigi Coli” di Città di Castello è stato uno dei primi ad essere operativo. Lo spirito costruttivo e di collaborazione multi e pluridisciplinare ha reso possibile non solo la nascita di servizi ambulatoriali dedicati, centri di ascolto per familiari, Centri Diurni Alzheimer, Laboratori di stimolazione cognitiva e Nuclei Alzheimer in Residenze Protette ma, soprattutto, ha dato dignità e riconoscimento di diritti alla persona affetta da una patologia che inesorabilmente lede la personalità, i pensieri ed i comportamenti, oltre a far perdere ruoli socio-familiari e ridurre alla solitudine ed isolamento. Grazie di cuore a tutti, familiari, parenti ed amici per la generosità dimostrata, Vi assicuriamo che ne faremo buon uso – conclude Morini – come abbiamo sempre fatto in tutti questi anni. A.M.A Umbria ha bisogno della collaborazione e del sostegno di tutti per poter continuare a svolgere il proprio lavoro e, quello che ha fatto ci fa ben sperare per il futuro, una rete di “solidarietà e aiuto concreto” che “fa la differenza”. L’attività dell’Associazione si pone al centro di una intensa attività non solo clinica, ma anche di costante informazione, formazione, punti di ascolto, servizi e sensibilizzazione sul territorio. Un grazie speciale, di cuore, allo splendido “Giovane 90”, accanto alla moglie fino all’ultimo, con amore, tenerezza e pazienza”. La Presidente di A.M.A. Umbria infine sottolinea che “questo bellissimo gesto di amore di Elio in ricordo della moglie e della nostra associazione giunge all’indomani del successo commovente che ha suscitato al Festival di Sanremo, la canzone di Simone Cristicchi, “Quando sarai piccola”, che ha acceso i riflettori sull’Alzheimer e sui sentimenti che provano i malati e le loro famiglie.” Plauso anche da parte delle istituzioni per questa storia di amore e solidarietà “che grazie al buon cuore del signor Elio Dini accende i riflettori sulla malattia e sulla rete che la comunità locale e non solo a vari livelli attiva in sinergia con le associazioni di volontariato”, dichiarano il sindaco Luca Secondi e l’assessore alle Politiche Sociali, Benedetta Calagreti unitamente alla presidente dell’Asp “Muzi Betti”, Annalisa Lelli, dove, la presidente di A.M.A., Goretta Morini svolge da anni con grande dedizione il ruolo di consigliere.
L’Associazione Malattia di Alzheimer, nata nel 1997 A.M.A Umbria, con lo scopo di realizzare quella rete di solidarietà e di aiuto capace di fare la differenza, l’associazione, che ha sede a Perugia e della quale fanno parte per lo più familiari dei malati affiancati da medici, operatori socio-sanitari, psicologi, fisioterapisti, è aperta a tutti coloro che, sensibili al problema, desiderino dare una mano.
