CAPRESE MICHELANGELO – Celebrazioni a Caprese il 6 marzo Il Comune presenta le iniziative dedicate al “Divin Artista” Cinque secoli e mezzo dopo la sua nascita, Caprese celebra il suo “cittadino” più illustre: Michelangelo. L’artista simbolo del Rinascimento, autore di capolavori quali il “David” e la “Cappella Sistina”, nacque nel piccolo paese della provincia di Arezzo il 6 marzo del 1475. Il Comune, guidato dalla prima cittadina Marida Brogialdi,ha deciso di ricordare il grande artista con un anno di celebrazioni

Giovedì 6 marzo, presso il Museo “Casa Natale”, si terrà un incontro alla presenza dei cittadini e delle istituzioni. Nell’occasione, l’amministrazione comunale presenterà le iniziative per quest’anno dedicato a Michelangelo. L’incontro vedrà la presenza del presidente della Regione Toscana Eugenio Giani, del presidente della Provincia di Arezzo Alessandro Polcri e di altre istituzioni regionali.

L’evento inizierà alle 16 e sono molti i temi in programma: tra questi l’annullo filatelico di un francobollo celebrativo dedicato a Michelangelo, emesso dalle Poste Italiane. L’iniziativa sarà affiancata da una rassegna apposita: gli spettatori potranno ammirare la mostra dei francobolli da tutto il mondo, raccolti e catalogati da Fabrizio Fabrini, che nel corso della storia sono stati dedicati all’artista. A seguire il Comune di Caprese premierà con una borsa di studio gli studenti che si sono distinti per merito e profitto negli studi nell’ultimo anno scolastico/accademico. Infine, darà un riconoscimento alle associazioni del territorio e non mancherà un omaggio ai sindaci di Caprese Michelangelo, dal 1946 ad oggi, che hanno contribuito ad arricchire il territorio.

L’incontro avrà luogo presso il Museo “Casa Natale” di Michelangelo Buonarroti. La struttura ha sede in un antico castello medievale, un luogo simbolo di Caprese con oltre mille anni di storia. L’amministrazione comunale ha provveduto, nel corso dei mesi invernali, a svolgere alcuni lavori di manutenzione straordinaria. Non solo. Grazie a fondi della Regione Toscana, il Castello di Caprese sarà interessato da altri interventi improntati all’accessibilità, affinché tutti possano fruire degli spazi del museo. I dettagli verranno esposti nel corso dell’evento.

L’8 marzo invece, in occasione dei 550 anni dal battesimo di Michelangelo a Caprese, verrà celebrata la Santa Messa nella chiesa di San Giovanni e a seguire, per gli amanti della natura e dello sport, è in programma un giro in bici dove si potranno visitare i principali luoghi di interesse storico in un percorso che partirà e si concluderà nel centro storico. L’evento è realizzato in collaborazione con la Polisportiva Michelangelo.

Per valorizzare il tema del rapporto tra le persone e i luoghi a cui sono legati, Roberta Rio, docente universitaria, introdurrà la sua conferenza sull’Effetto Topofilia del giorno 8 marzo, con attenzione particolare alla nascita di Michelangelo a Caprese, e accompagnerà le persone nel percepire il Genius Loci di un luogo così particolare.

Tra gli eventi in programma nel corso di marzo c’è la residenza d’artista di una giovane e promettente scultrice di Pietrasanta, Jessica Ielpo, che realizzerà un’opera in marmo in omaggio a Michelangelo, da lasciare in dono al Museo. La restituzione delle sue opere avverrà in una mostra personale nel corso del 2025.

Per valorizzare il territorio e la rete museale, il 30 e 31 marzo, verrà proposta una performance teatrale a cura dell’Associazione Case della Memoria. Lo spettatore potrà essere coinvolto attivamente in una performance itinerante tra le sale del castello, incentrata sulla vita e le opere di Michelangelo.

Ma la novità più importante è che Michelangelo tornerà a Caprese. Grazie a un progetto realizzato in collaborazione con la Fondazione “Casa Buonarroti” di Firenze, sarà possibile esporre nelle sale della Casa Natale una serie di lettere del “Divin Artista”, insieme ad altre opere. La mostra avrà luogo nei prossimi mesi e sarà solo la prima di un anno ricco di incontri, conferenze, arte e cultura.
