AREZZO “ Sabato 8 marzo, alle ore 10.30, poesie, pensieri e riflessioni di fronte alla scultura di Abel Vallmitjana nei Giardini del Praticino. L’iniziativa omaggia il mondo femminile per la Giornata della donna nell’ambito della “Giornata Internazionale della donna”, il Comitato Vallmitjana e gli altri organizza ad Arezzo l’iniziativa dal titolo “La Hermana y la Herida. Letture in ricordo di Clarisa Vallmitjana”.
L’evento si svolgerà dalle ore 10.30 nei Giardini del Praticino, di fronte alla Biblioteca Città di Arezzo, dove è collocata la scultura in bronzo “La Hermana y la Herida” di Abel Vallmitjana, pittore, scultore, incisore e musicologo spagnolo che dalla metà degli anni Cinquanta alla prima metà degli anni Settanta visse a Villa Guillichini di Tregozzano, influenzando l’arte e la cultura aretina di quel periodo. Il titolo della statua che raffigura due figure femminili abbracciate, traducibile in “La Sorella e la Ferita”, fu suggerito dal grande poeta cileno Pablo Neruda, sincero amico di Vallmitjana, durante uno dei suoi soggiorni aretini dei primi anni Sessanta. Il 21 febbraio 1974, quando Vallmitjana morì improvvisamente per un ictus, l’opera era ancora un modello in gesso, ma la moglie venezuelana Clarisa Silva, decisa a offrire un ricordo alla città che li aveva accolti per anni con grande affetto, si rivolse ai tanti amici artisti per raccogliere, attraverso un’asta pubblica di opere d’arte, le cifre necessarie alla fusione in bronzo della scultura. Per l’occasione vari aderenti al comitato leggeranno in pubblico poesie, testi letterari, riflessioni e pensieri dedicati all’opera d’arte, a Clarisa e al mondo femminile.
