Tredici i ragazzi provenienti dalle finaliste di Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2026, che grazie alla guida dei loro coetanei attivi nel territorio, hanno potuto scoprire e entrare a fare parte dei luoghi che caratterizzano Valdichiana2025 – Capitale Toscana della Cultura.
Si è appena concluso il weekend dedicato alla Valdichiana Senese nell’ambito di Cantiere Città – Junior Edition, un progetto che ha visto la partecipazione di giovani under23 provenienti dalle città finaliste per il titolo di Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2026. Un viaggio alla scoperta delle tradizioni, della storia e delle bellezze della nostra terra, inserito all’interno della progettualità di Valdichiana2025 – Capitale Toscana della Cultura. L’iniziativa, organizzata dall’Unione dei Comuni della Valdichiana Senese con il sostegno della Scuola dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali, ha permesso ai partecipanti di immergersi in un percorso esperienziale e culturale che ha toccato Chiusi, Chianciano Terme, Montepulciano, Sarteano e Pienza. I ragazzi della Valdichiana hanno accompagnato i loro coetanei in un viaggio autentico tra i luoghi più significativi del territorio, offrendo uno sguardo inedito e coinvolgente sulla loro terra d’origine. weekend ha preso il via venerdì 21 marzo a Chiusi, con la visita guidata al Museo Civico- Chiusi Sotterranea, seguita da una cena conviviale nel cuore della città. Il giorno successivo, sabato 22 marzo, il gruppo ha esplorato Sarteano, con la scoperta della Tomba della Quadriga Infernale, la visita alla sala d’arte Domenico Beccafumi e un coinvolgente laboratorio teatrale con la Compagnia Arrischianti. Nel pomeriggio, il viaggio è proseguito a Montepulciano, con un tour del centro storico, la visita al Tempio di San Biagio e un incontro con il Gruppo Sbandieratori e Tamburini di Montepulciano. La giornata si è conclusa a Chianciano Terme, con un momento di relax alle Piscine Termali Theia. L’ultima tappa, domenica 23 marzo, ha visto i ragazzi protagonisti a Pienza, dove hanno esplorato il centro storico e partecipato a un incontro con Impluvium APS, dedicato alla figura di Mario Luzi, con la lettura delle sue poesie. Il progetto Cantiere Città Junior Edition si inserisce alla perfezione nel programma di Valdichiana2025 – Capitale Toscana della Cultura, con l’obiettivo di promuovere il protagonismo giovanile, la valorizzazione delle aree interne e la costruzione di una rete culturale tra territori, promuovendo l’idea di cultura diffusa e in movimento. Un’esperienza che ha lasciato nei partecipanti un segno profondo, con la promessa di un ritorno per scoprire ancora le meraviglie della Valdichiana Senese.
