Venerdì 16 maggio alle ore 17, presso la Biblioteca comunale di Cità di Castello, l’Associazione Chiese Storiche promuoverà un incontro sul tema: “Moviment Monastci Femminili a Cità di Castello”. Terrà la relazione l’ing. Giovanni Cangi, noto studioso della realtà locale.
L’insediamento degli ordini monastci ha comportato uno sviluppo per la vita della comunità
tfernate da un punto di vista non solo religioso, ma anche sociale ed urbanistco.
Giovanna Casagrande, in Forme di vita religiose femminili, aferma che Cità di Castello si presenta
come un centro vivo e vitale. Questa presenza così difusa, nel corso dei secoli, ha comportato che, per molteplici ragioni, le comunità monastche abbiano cambiato sedi, molte volte spostandosi dall’esterno all’interno dell cità o in luoghi diversi entro la stessa. Quest trasferiment e il successivo consolidamento dei monasteri sono stat element che hanno infuito sull’asseto del centro storico, tutora ben visibile
Inoltre i monasteri hanno rappresentato un punto di riferimento imprescindibile per la vita di diverse generazioni di tfernat e per molt lo sono tutora.Quando il 16 maggio parleremo dei Moviment monastci femminili, faremo anche memoria di ricordi legat alle vicende delle nostre famiglie.Una storia poco conosciuta, quella dei monasteri ma, con questa iniziatva, proveremo a farla uscire dall’oblio.
