A TOLOSA LA RIUNIONE DELLA FEDERAZIONE EUROPEA CAMMINI DI SANTIAGO.

PRESENTE ANCHE SANSEPOLCRO – Nei giorni scorsi la città francese di Tolosa ha ospitato la riunione annuale della Federazione Europea dei Cammini di Santiago. Presenti i membri di molteplici realtà continentali: Lituania, Polonia, Olanda, Belgio, Francia, Croazia, Spagna, Portogallo e Italia. Il Comune di Sansepolcro, ammesso un anno fa a far parte della Federazione, era rappresentato dal Presidente del Consiglio Antonello Antonelli che ha illustrato una relazione relativa alle varie attività e novità che hanno interessato Sansepolcro e le aree attraversate dal Cammino di Francesco.

“In primis” dichiara Antonelli “è stata sottolineata l’importanza dei lavori  nella zona di Montecasale. Ho ringraziato le associazioni che si sono organizzate per assistere e supportare i pellegrini in cammino verso il Borgo, tra le quali particolare menzione merita la pro loco di Gricignano. Poi ho ricordato l’apertura della nuova porzione di cammino collegata al nuovo ponte sul Tevere, i lavori per la ciclabile di vallata, l’opera dell’ufficio turistico e gli itinerari culturali cittadini”.

Un plauso al Comune di Sansepolcro è stato rivolto dal Presidente della Federazione “per aver organizzato, primi in Italia, la mostra fotografica relativa ai Cammini culturali europei”. Nel corso dell’iniziativa è stato fatto riferimento alle pubblicazioni del Touring Club relative ai Cammini di Francesco e alla partecipazione al bando per l’assegnazione di ricarica e wi-fi, strumenti utilissimi ai pellegrini di passaggio. Il prossimo appuntamento, nel 2026, si terrà a Pola, in Istria.

“Una significativa esperienza” conclude il Presidente Antonelli “e un grazie a Silvia Epi per aver curato la parte delle immagini proiettate sullo schermo durante la relazione. Grazie sentito anche ai concittadini Giovanni Tricca e Marco Cestelli per il lavoro che portano avanti da anni con passione e competenza sul tema e per il supporto prezioso nell’organizzazione di questi eventi”.
