Avviso importante sulla validità delle Carte d’Identità cartacee |

A partire dal 3 agosto 2026, tutte le carte d’identità cartacee, indipendentemente dalla data di scadenza riportata sul documento, cesseranno di essere valide. Secondo quanto previsto dal Regolamento UE 1157/2019, le carte d’identità cartacee (CIC) italiane cesseranno di essere valide il 3 agosto 2026, in quanto non più rispondenti ai requisiti di sicurezza dei documenti d’identità e di viaggio previsti dalle norme dell’Unione Europea

Si invitano i/le cittadini/e in possesso della carta d’identità cartacea a controllare la scadenza riportata sul retro del documento e, nel caso in cui la scadenza fosse successiva al 03 agosto 2026, a recarsi per tempo all’Ufficio Anagrafe, onde evitare spiacevoli lunghe attese, per il rilascio della nuova carta d’identità elettronica.

COSA SERVE:

una fototessera recente, non antecedente a 6 mesi di tempo e comunque mai la stessa foto della precedente carta d’identità, conforme alle norme ICAO;
la vecchia carta d’identità (in caso di furto o smarrimento della precedente carta, serve anche la denuncia in originale presentata alle forze dell’ordine e altro documento di riconoscimento)
il codice fiscale.

Per i minori cittadini Italiani, in caso di richiesta della carta d’identità valida per l’espatrio, è richiesta la presenza del minore e di entrambi i genitori muniti del proprio documento di riconoscimento. Qualora i genitori non riescano a presentarsi insieme, il genitore “mancante” dovrà compilare e consegnare al genitore “presente” il modulo di assenso per minori (reperibile sul sito del Comune o presso gli sportelli degli Uffici Demografici) unendo copia del proprio documento di identità.

Tempi: la consegna della carta identità elettronica avviene di norma in circa sei (6) giorni lavorativi a cura dell’Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.
