SANSEPOLCRO – durante la seconda guerra mondiale La sala consiliare di Palazzo delle Laudi è stata teatro della “Giornata degli internati italiani nei campi di concentramento tedeschi durante la seconda guerra mondiale”.
L’iniziativa, istituita dalla legge del 13 gennaio 2025 al fine di conservare la memoria dei cittadini italiani, militari e civili, internati nei campi di concentramento a causa del loro rifiuto di collaborare con i nazionalsocialisti e la Repubblica di Salò, è stata molto partecipata e ricca di contenuti.
Alla presenza del sindaco Fabrizio Innocenti, del Prefetto di Arezzo, Clemente di Nuzzo, di rappresentanti delle massime istituzioni regionali, provinciali e del territorio tiberino, e di esponenti delle forze dell’ordine e delle associazioni combattentistiche, molteplici le relazioni sul tema. Impreziosite da un toccante documento filmato che ha ripercorso la tragedia dei militari italiani internati durante il conflitto. Fra un intervento e l’altro, l’esibizione al violino del M° Laura Cuku Hodaj, che ha eseguito celebri brani adeguati al contesto. La cerimonia si è conclusa con la consegna di una medaglia d’onore alla memoria concessa dal Presidente della Repubblica, ai familiari del militare Gino Giorni, nato a Sansepolcro e internato dal settembre del 1943 al febbraio del 1945. Alla celebrazione ha preso parte una rappresentanza di studenti dell’Istituto di istruzione secondaria superiore “Città di Sansepolcro”.
