AREZZO – “Scrittori in Circolo”: incontri promossi dalla Rete Documentaria Aretina con le biblioteche di 11 Comuni aderenti e i circoli di lettura. Gennaio-marzo 2026 Nasce il festival “Scrittori in Circolo”, rassegna d’incontri letterari a cura della Rete Documentaria Aretina e le “sue” biblioteche, di 11 Comuni in collaborazione con i circoli di lettura della provincia e la libreria Feltrinelli di Arezzo, con il sostegno della Regione Toscana. Un grande evento che celebra la passione per la lettura ed esalta il ruolo dei Comuni nel tessuto culturale.
Dal 16 gennaio al 28 marzo biblioteche e altri loghi come teatri, auditorium e sale istituzionali si animeranno in un fitto calendario di presentazioni di libri pubblicati tra il 2024 e l’anno appena iniziato dai più importanti autori e autrici del panorama editoriale italiano, una proposta poliedrica per andare incontro agli interessi di un vasto pubblico. L’incontro di apertura si svolgerà alla Biblioteca Città di Arezzo con Gian Marco Griffi, autore di “Ferrovie del Messico”, premio Libro dell’anno di Fahrenheit, venerdì 16 gennaio, mentre la chiusura sarà affidata il 28 marzo ad Annalisa Cuzzocrea, giornalista de “la Repubblica”. In mezzo, la partecipazione di grandi ospiti, dalla letteratura alla saggistica (in allegato il programma completo). Le biblioteche che promuovono questa iniziativa sono quelle di Arezzo, Anghiari, Bibbiena, Castelfranco Piandiscò, Castiglion Fiorentino, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Montevarchi, Poppi, Pratovecchio Stia, San Giovanni Valdarno, Terranuova Bracciolini. Tutti gli incontri saranno a ingresso libero e gratuito e le serate vedranno giornalisti e giornaliste del territorio o componenti dei vari gruppi di lettura condurre le interviste agli scrittori e scrittrici, con uno spazio di domande aperto per il pubblico e il firmacopie finale. Alessandro Artini, presidente dell’istituzione Biblioteca Città di Arezzo: “le biblioteche sono presidi essenziali di cultura e di relazione: luoghi vivi in cui le persone s’incontrano e costruiscono comunità. Con ‘Scrittori in Circolo’ abbiamo voluto, insieme alle altre istituzioni provinciali, riportare l’attenzione sulle biblioteche pubbliche, affinché ogni cittadino possa vivere esperienze condivise, trovare nuovi stimoli e il libro giusto per sé o per un suo caro. Ci auguriamo che l’energia del festival diventi un impulso duraturo, un invito per istituzioni e cittadini a ricordarsi delle proprie biblioteche e a frequentarle tutto l’anno”.
L’assessore alla cultura del Comune di Montevarchi, Giacomo Brandi: “il Comune di Montevarchi è lieto di accogliere questo ricco ciclo d’incontri, con il tramite della Rete Documentaria Aretina. Un importante stimolo che nasce dal coinvolgimento dei vari circoli di lettura presenti nella comunità, da Aperibook che ogni mese si ritrova alla biblioteca comunale a quello attivo presso il Bibliocoop, dai bookclub promossi da librerie indipendenti fino a gruppi informali ma consolidati, nutriti da amici appassionati. Sono tante le persone che coltivano la lettura condivisa e questo ciclo vuol dar loro risonanza e sostegno”.
L’assessore alla cultura del Comune di Bibbiena, Francesca Nassini: “esprimo grande soddisfazione per l’adesione a ‘Scrittori in Circolo’, progetto della Rete Documentaria Aretina per l’anno 2026. Si tratta di un percorso prezioso di educazione permanente che valorizza la lettura e la partecipazione culturale nel territorio”.
Il sindaco e l’assessore alla cultura di Civitella in Val di Chiana, Andrea Tavarnesi e Claudia Del Tongo: “siamo felici di portare nel territorio una rassegna che rappresenta un’importante occasione di confronto con autrici e autori amati dal grande pubblico. Grazie alle loro parole avremo la possibilità di riflettere sui temi della contemporaneità”.
Il sindaco di San Giovanni Valdarno, Valentina Vadi: “abbiamo aderito convintamente e senza indugio alla proposta della Rete Documentaria Aretina di organizzare una rassegna che intende promuovere la lettura attraverso l’incontro con autori e intellettuali di altissimo livello, distribuita nelle biblioteche della provincia. L’elemento distintivo della rassegna è il protagonismo dei lettori, attuato tramite un coinvolgimento diretto dei circoli di lettura di tutto il territorio e dei loro membri: sono loro ad aver avanzato le proposte, sulla base delle specifiche sensibilità e interessi”.
L’assessore alla cultura del Comune di Anghiari, Alberica Barbolani da Montauto: “siamo felici e onorati di ospitare ad Anghiari due appuntamenti letterari così importanti, che porteranno autori eccezionali come Marco Vichi e Luca Sommi. Entrambe le iniziative sono il frutto di un significativo lavoro di squadra che vede la biblioteca di Anghiari collaborare attivamente con la Rete Bibliotecaria Aretina. È proprio questa sinergia a permetterci di superare i confini locali e inserire il paese in un circuito culturale di ampio respiro”.
