“Un riconoscimento che come Azienda Sanitaria ma anche personalmente, vista la mia nota passione per gli animali, ci riempie d’orgoglio. Spesso consideriamo il settore veterinario del Servizio Sanitario un ambito marginale- dichiara il Direttore Generale della Asl Toscana sud est- ma ogni intervento di veterinaria che facciamo ha in realtà un’importanza enorme per la salute pubblica e per la comunità. Lo facciamo in primis fornendo ai Comuni e agli enti che controllano il randagismo, i nostri servizi di cura per gli animali ma anche di sterilizzazione. Non solo, nei mesi scorsi abbiamo collaborato ad un progetto del Comune di Arezzo insieme alle associazioni territoriali Enpa ed Oipa rivolto ai proprietari di cani per affrontare e risolvere eventuali problematiche generate dagli animali, un vero e proprio corso di formazione. Abbiamo messo a disposizione un medico veterinario comportamentista di supporto ad istruttori educatori cinofili e guardie zoofile proprio perchè sosteniamo che la qualità della vita delle persone non sia separata da un connubio positivo con la salute degli animali che vivono con loro”.
